And so it begins, first of all I'd like to say I'm no wordsmith so no flowery prose, sorry. I decided to start this blog site as I've been working in the food industry for five years now. Prior to this I worked 9-5 in a finance department valuing asset portfolios and finding fault in other peoples expenses, money wasn't bad but by goodness was it dull.
Like many people I decided to change vocation once children arrived and started our own new brand of ice cream called Benji's and a range of cooking sauces under the label Ben & Jacob's of Oxford, but that's enough about that for now.
So why Ben & Jacobs of Oxford?? Well I love food, watch most food programs and love a glass of wine or two. Sadly the pounds have crept on over the years and now I'm in my fourties I've noticed they're creeping on with less and less effort.
My ambition is to find a range of dishes that can be enjoyed without having to un-notch the belt every couple of months. All very easy in theory and there are hundreds of books around claiming to achieve this, I probably tried a lot of them and find them dull dull dull.
So that's enough for now, time for lunch and I'm off to enjoy Thai Chicken and Noodles..... recipes and piccies to follow.
